My very first quilt.

I made my very first quilt about a year ago. It came as a kit in a discount pile at Jo-Ann fabrics - without any instructions. Luckily there was a free class at another local sewing shop where the ladies there were so kind to help me and lead me in the right direction. I donated this quilt to my church's women's ministry group called the "Bags of Love" project. The ladies at church all make quilts and donate them along with a bag of goodies to displaced children through the city. I'm sure a little boy or girl loved this fuzzy Micky quilt. I know I would if I was taken away from my home as a kid. I am hoping to make a steady flow of quilts so I can donate more. If you'd like to donate a quilt or fabric to this project, feel free to email me. Here is their website. http://apachejunction.adventistfaith.org/photo_albums/2421

Let's quilt!

I've been itching to start a sewing and craft blog. I think I have quilting fever~ I'm still learning lots as I go along. Maybe I can inspire some of you out there with the quilts I'm working on and have done. Share with me what quilts and projects you're working on. Would love to see. Let's get quiltin'. See you all around very soon...
