Addicted to fabric

I love fabric (almost as much as I love paper). When I was in school, I just couldn't help but wander into the art room storage closet. I loved to touch and see all the styles and types of paper I could use for my next project. I'm finding that I have the same addition to fabric. I could just touch and wander a fabric store for hours. One of my favorite sections is the remnant bins. They have a tons of pieces rolled up all in one place for cheap. I'm guilty for buying too many of those, now I've got a whole closet full of remnants. But I plan on quilting with all of them too. :) just wait and see! Am I alone out here with a fabric addiction?

Quilt therapy

I think quilting and crafting is such great therapy. Have you ever just had those days or weeks, where crafting is such a stress relieve? Must have been one of those days or a couple days for me too. Took me a couple hours spread out over a couple days. I had some pieces I decided to make a 4x5 patch quilt. Everything that could have gone wrong, did! But even though this was such a basic quilt, it seemed to be harder than a more complex pattern. I had a few cute little interruptions as well. What I did learn, however, is that it¹s definitely easier to use all the same type fabric, pay more attention when layering before sewing and turning. Oh well, turned out soft and cuddly and I¹m sure some little girl will love it. But for now, I still find a little bit of quiet in my sewing room with the whirr of my
sewing machine.
